No Borders

Escif amazes the whole world by presenting social criticism in a wonderful aesthetic way. Minimalism and pure elegance with a message, with the aim of awakening the viewer. We bet who is Escif, but in Valencia you have a chance to spot him. Normally, the street artist only paints in his beloved Spanish city, but he likes to make an exception for Ostend.

Escif painted two walls in Ostend. The first is a little dog with the message "Save the planet." He immediately calls it his most political work. The other work is a drawing of Tintin without contours, with the message "No borders."

Escif verbaast de hele wereld door maatschappijkritiek op een wondermooie esthetische manier neer te zetten. Minimalisme en pure elegantie met een boodschap, met als doel de kijker wakker schudden. Wie Escif is, daar gokken we naar, maar in Valencia maak je wel kans om hem te spotten. Normaal gezien schildert de street artist enkel in zijn geliefde Spaanse stad, maar voor Oostende maakt hij graag een uitzondering.

Escif schilderde twee muren in Oostende. De eerste is een klein hondje met de boodschap ‘Save the planet.’ Hij noemt het meteen zijn meest politieke werk. Het ander werk is een tekening van Kuifje zonder contouren, met als boodschap ‘No borders.’
